Founding Principal

Our studio is led by Derek Chan, AIA, who has over a decade experience in architecture and its communication through visualization. He has built his reputation on his unrelenting commitment to delivering industry-leading visual and creative content, with expertise in architectural design. His ability to create enduring client relationships is a hallmark of his teams’ client-focused approach, who are always seeking to create value and provide intelligence to move complex projects toward simple and stunning solutions. Before Red Leaf, Derek had an accomplished career as an Associate Principal architect at Kohn Pedersen Fox in New York City. He graduated with a B.A. in Architecture from Princeton University and received his Masters in Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design; he is a registered architect and an active member of the AIA.
